» Why You May Need New Dentures - Full Dentures

• Have you started to use a denture adhesive or are your dentures loose for any reason?
• Have had one or more denture repairs?

» Reasons Why You May Need New Dentures - Partial Dentures

• Is Your Bite Not Quite Right? Any gaps left by missing teeth can put greater pressure on the natural teeth left either side of the gap. This can lead to your bite being affected, because your natural teeth next to the space can lean into the gap and alter the way the upper and lower teeth bite together. This can result in food getting packed into the gap, which can cause tooth decay and gum disease.
• Is Eating Hard Work? Eating is more comfortable and easier when you have no missing teeth.
• Do you find it hard to pronounce some words? Teeth work with the lips, tongue and palate to form sounds. Therefore if you have any missing teeth this can affect your speech; having partial dentures made can help your pronunciation of words.
• Want a Confident Smile? A partial denture will fill in any gaps left by missing teeth, thereby removing any unsightly spaces, thus improving your smile and appearance.
• Have you have had your current partial dentures 3-5 years or more?
• Have you had an Immediate Denture? This is a denture that replaces your natural teeth and is fitted immediately after your natural teeth have been extracted. If you have an immediate denture, you will need new dentures after approximately 6 months when your gums have healed.
