Denture Adhesives

Making the best use of denture adhesives can improve the quality of your life, the quality of your diet and your overall wellbeing.  The Oral Health Foundation has developed guidelines on the best use of denture adhesives.

Denture adhesives summary:

• Make sure your denture is clean and dry and place a small amount of denture adhesive on it
• Place the denture into your mouth and firmly close your mouth for a few seconds. If too much oozes out, you've used more than necessary.  Remove excess denture adhesive without swallowing it.  Try not to eat or drink anything for about 5 minutes.
• Before sleeping, please take your denture out.  Clean your dentures and the inside of your mouth thoroughly to remove any adhesive.
